DEAR READERS

Not much this time, because we have heard very little from you all.
George Harrilla from Los Alamos National Laboratory, has emailed Louise with an excellent
idea about citing references.
It just occured to me that you could add the URL as a separate line for
the paper as well. This would make it convenient for people to get to the exact paper
someone has referenced. I suspect in the future we'll be using URL addresses and
electronic citations more as more journals come on line.
From George's comments I have now added the reference at the end of every paper we have
published in IJVS. So now when you cite a paper from IJVS, go to the end of the paper and
copy and paste the reference given - Louise.
We have also heard from someone called Donald. Seems he wants help on instrumentation.
Here is Donald's query and my reply.
Hello, my name is Donald, I am an MSc student at Kings College London University. I
am wondering if there are any periodicals/journal papers that have covered the subject of
purging of FT-IR apparatus and a general overview of FT-IR.
Yes, Donald, in an early edition of IJVS we talked about purging - See Volume 1, Edition 2,
under the title Backgrounds. We have covered a huge range of topics in IJVS - I recommend
you quickly scan all the editions and look for material on FTIR in general.
If anyone else can help Donald, his email address is diffang@excite.com but
don't forget to copy the IJVS Office as well.
REMEMBER OUR NEW PHONE/FAX NUMBERS IF YOU
